This was completed as the term project for Library. of Information Science course #7910. Note, the McGuffey Reader' are of historic importance, particularly to the Henry Ford museum. Many of the McGuffey Readers used to complete this project were selected due to being processed for an episode on Innovation Nation.

Description of Document:
This document is to lay out and implement the metadata schema that is mapped to Dublin Core elements (dublincore.org). The document also acknowledges controlled vocabulary uses (where necessary) and examples for the formatting of the metadata beyond controlled vocabularies.
Purpose of Document:
The purpose of this document is to make a localized standard for metadata elements application and usage when concerning the upload of digitized book objects. This is to improve the overall use of the system which houses these digital objects in order to search, use, and access these materials. Please use this document as a reference for creating and updating metadata to these localized standards.
