TRAVEL
“I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.” –Susan Sontag

I have been addicted to traveling since my first voyage beyond our borders to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (as a Michigander, going to Canada is such a normal and easy thing...I guess Punta Cana was not my first international trip). I love getting to the airport early to see all the people rushing to their gates, watching the excitement as everyone departs to a different part of the world.
Airports connect a person to anywhere and everywhere. When I finally make it onto the plane, find my seat, buckle up, the anticipation for take off excites me. Next thing I know, we are racing down the runway, my excitement overflowing because in the next moment you find yourself in the clouds, the world at your fingertips.
In my short life, I have been fortunate enough to have traveled a lot of the world. I have been to 9 European countries, 9 islands in the Caribbean, Canada, and many destinations throughout the U.S..
My travel is the real life application of what I have learned of history and culture in the classroom I have discovered new culture, foods, people (friends) and most importantly, life lessons. The world is my textbook. Here, I share my stories of adventure.
